Beyond our core programs, Angels Within Reach hosts three signature community events each year — bringing warmth, nourishment, and health resources directly to the seniors who need them most.
Our outreach events are free, open to the public, and designed to meet seniors where they are — in their communities, with dignity and joy.

Wings of Warmth
No Senior Should Face Winter Alone.
Wings of Warmth is our annual winter outreach event, held each November and December. We distribute warm clothing, blankets, coats, and cold-weather essentials to seniors in need — ensuring that no elder in our community faces the cold without protection. Volunteers gather, sort, and personally deliver items to seniors who are homebound or unable to travel.
What to Expect
- Distribution of coats, blankets, and warm clothing
- Home delivery for homebound seniors
- Holiday gift bags and personal care items
- Warm meals and hot beverages at distribution sites
- Volunteer-led companionship visits
How to Participate
- Donate new or gently used warm clothing and blankets
- Volunteer to sort, pack, or deliver items

Wings of Nourishment
Good Food. Good Company. Good Health.
Wings of Nourishment is our quarterly community meal and food distribution event. We partner with local restaurants, caterers, and food banks to provide nutritious meals, fresh produce, and pantry staples to seniors facing food insecurity. Each event is also a social gathering — a chance for isolated seniors to connect, share a meal, and feel part of a community that cares.
What to Expect
- Hot, nutritious meals served on-site
- Fresh produce and pantry staple distribution
- Grocery gift cards for homebound seniors
- Nutrition education and healthy eating resources
- Social activities and community connection
How to Participate
- Volunteer to cook, serve, or distribute food

Wings of Health
Wellness Within Reach.
Wings of Health is our bi-annual health and wellness fair, connecting seniors to free health screenings, medical resources, and wellness education. We partner with local healthcare providers, clinics, and wellness organizations to bring services directly to seniors who face barriers to accessing care. From blood pressure checks to vision screenings to Medicare counseling — Wings of Health brings the clinic to the community.
What to Expect
- Free blood pressure, glucose, and vision screenings
- Medicare and Medicaid counseling and enrollment assistance
- Mental health and wellness resources
- Prescription assistance program information
- Flu shots and preventive care resources
- Health education workshops and Q&A sessions
How to Participate
